One of the main factors that determines eligibility is the vehicle's registration date. According to regulations set by the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency), vehicles registered after January 2001 cannot undergo a fuel type change to electric. This restriction means that if your vehicle has a registration date post-2001, it will not qualify for an electric conversion.
For vehicles that fall within the eligible category—those registered before January 2001—there are no specific requirements regarding the condition of the vehicle. Whether your camper van is fully restored, roadworthy, or simply a shell with no engine, we can assist with the conversion.
